My name is Davinder Singh and I am a gym rat. For those of you who are not familiar with the term “gym rat”, it is a term used to denote a person who is very dedicated to going to the gym. Going to the gym is a part of my daily ritual and an important one at that. I NEVER skip a gym session. Exercise has become a part of my lifestyle now. I remember having skipped two consecutive days of gym sessions last year. I had got into a terrible mood during those two days. Yeah, it’s true. When you become obsessed with exercise and gym sessions, taking a break from these can have an impact on your mood. Going to the gym is not a “want” anymore. It is a “need”. I cannot imagine my life without it. A lot of people have asked me what I do to keep myself fit. I told them that I go to the gym. But, that’s not it. There is a lot more to what I do that makes my life exciting. In this post, I will take you through a typical day in my life so that you understand what is it exactly that I do.
5:00 A.M
I am up. I go through my morning routine. I leave for the gym.
5:30 A.M
I arrive at the gym. I go about my routine and do my warm-up exercise. I do all kinds of exercises to get my blood flowing. I do jump squats. I do Hindu push-ups. Once I am done with my warm up, I get to the equipment. In the next two hours, I go through my strength training session. Once I am done, I get back to my place.
9:00 A.M
I reach my office. I spend my day sitting at the office, working. However, I make sure to get enough exercise at the office. For instance, I take the stairs instead of the lift. I do squats and pushups whenever I get the chance. Then I make sure to have a great meal. I have a strict Indian diet plan for bodybuilding. I have been preparing my meals for myself since the time I learned that one’s meal has to be specifically prepared as per one’s fitness goals. The Indian diet plan for bodybuilding that I follow is super nutritious and healthy. I just love it.
6:00 P.M
I get back home. I change and head out with my bicycle. I cycle for an hour after which I head for the gym. Yeah, I go to the gym twice a day. I like it that way. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that I am addicted to working out. I spend an hour at the gym. I do cardio and mix it up with some strength training. After a rigorous training session, I get back to my place. I take a shower. I prepare my meal. I have my meal.
9:00 P.M
I hit the bed for a good eight-hour sleep.
